We’re currently seeking a talented and culturally fluent Chinese Copywriter to join our UAE team to create compelling content that resonates with Mandarin-speaking audiences across global campaigns.
Job Description
We are looking for a native-level Chinese Copywriter with a passion for storytelling and cultural nuance. This role involves developing creative, strategic, and brand-aligned content across digital and traditional platforms. You’ll play a critical role in supporting our clients’ regional and international communication efforts targeting Chinese-speaking markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Development: Write clear, engaging, and original Chinese content for websites, social media, product descriptions, press releases, brand campaigns, and more.
- Localization & Transcreation: Adapt English content into culturally relevant Chinese messaging that maintains brand voice and intent.
- Brand Voice Alignment: Ensure all content aligns with the client’s tone of voice, positioning, and market objectives.
- Research & Insights: Conduct audience research and cultural insight gathering to inform creative direction.
- Collaboration: Work closely with creative directors, strategists, designers, and account teams across regions.
- Quality Assurance: Edit and proofread content for clarity, tone, and accuracy in simplified or traditional Chinese, as required.
Requirements
- Language Proficiency: Native or fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken). Excellent English communication skills are essential.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of copywriting experience in marketing, advertising, or content creation, ideally in an agency or brand environment.
- Cultural Fluency: Deep understanding of Chinese culture, media habits, and market trends.
- Creative Skills: Exceptional storytelling, strong headlines, and content ideation abilities.
- Technical Tools: Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms (WeChat, Weibo, etc.), and basic design or layout tools is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous editing skills and a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and style in both Chinese and English.
